TEQUILA\ Auckland Dominates Again On International Awards Stage
Tuesday, 24th October, 2006:
New Zealand agencies dominated the international Echo Direct Marketing association awards in San Francisco last week led
by TEQUILA\ Auckland which won a Gold and two bronze Echos.
Jones Publishing’s ‘Bistro at Your Place’ campaign received a Gold and ASB Bank and Nissan picked up Bronze awards for
the Rural Banking ‘Bootscraper’ campaign and the Murano/Pathfinder ‘Torn’ campaign respectively. Ogilvy One received a
Diamond for its Purina ‘Milkaholics’.
In total, New Zealand agencies and clients won a total of 15 awards at the DMA’s gala ceremony hosted by American
comedian and media personality Dana Carvey.
Wayne Pick, TEQUILA\ Auckland Creative Director, was present in San Francisco to pick up TEQUILA\’s swag of awards and
to speak at the DMA Conference.
“It was fantastic to wave the creative Kiwi flag yet again and add it to the local Admedia/Fairfax ‘Compact Agency of
the Year’ accolade we’ve also had bestowed upon us,” he says.
“With our strong showing at Cannes and other high profile international awards ceremonies it’s been a bumper year for
TEQUILA\ Auckland,”

Other New Zealand winners noted on the night were Aim Proximity Auckland and Wellington, Robins Brand Richter, Publicis
Dialogue and Clemenger BBDO.
