TelstraClear Opens its Doors on Retail
TelstraClear has opened its first retail store in Wellington.
TelstraClear’s Head of Consumer Markets, Steve Jackson, says the store provides customers with a complete TelstraClear experience.
“Visitors to the store can experience what it’s like to have TelstraClear’s triple-play InHome residential service - phone, Internet, and Digital TV. The store is a living billboard - fitted out as if you were walking in to a living room complete with TelstraClear services,” says Mr Jackson.
Mr Jackson says the move to open a retail store is significant and shows TelstraClear’s commitment to New Zealand.
“Saturn, a TelstraClear predecessor company, started in the region in 1996 and today, TelstraClear serves not only parts of Wellington, but also a large part of Christchurch and the Kapiti Coast where our market share on our network is around 40 percent,” he says.
“What’s great is that only TelstraClear can provide a unique triple-play offer - where the Internet is faster, TV is digital, and a phone line costs less. You can also add mobile and get everything on one bill,” he says.
Mr Jackson says as part of the store opening TelstraClear is offering special promotions and giveaways.
“The store provides the all-important ‘face-to-the-name’ and staff will demonstrate the services and sign up customers in store,” he says.
The store has five plasma TV's, including one set up in a home theatre room to display digital TV with surround sound. There are six Apple iMac’s connected to TelstraClear’s high-speed broadband and video is projected on to sidewalk screens.
The store is located in the Reading Complex at 100 Courtenay Place, Wellington. The store, under the direction of Store Manager Anthonie De Heer, will operate seven days a week with the following opening hours:
Monday 10:00am-5:00pm
Tuesday 10:00am-8:00pm
Wednesday 10:00am-5:00pm
Thursday 10:00am-8:00pm
Friday 10:00am-8:00pm
Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm
Sunday 10:00am-5:00pm
