Splurf - long awaited Website launches today.
After six months in the making Splurf has finally arrived. Splurf is a powerful online tool that enables consumers to source multiple quotes for products and services at the push of a button.
Covering 120 business categories and launching with 1200 businesses primarily from the Auckland region, Splurf is gearing up for rapid growth.
Splurf is not a business directory. To the contrary, Splurf eliminates the need to search by simply matching the member’s enquiry with the businesses that best meet those needs. Businesses then compete for your Business.
Co-founder Nigel Lewis explains that bringing on businesses has been relatively easy, “businesses see the advantage in registering with Splurf because it opens up a whole new world of business opportunities with minimal work on their part.”
Lewis adds that the Yellow Pages is doing Splurf a big favour. “The overwhelming feedback we have received from businesses is that they are becoming increasingly agitated with the cost of advertising relative to the return – it’s next to nothing.”
Delivering on expectation is essential for Splurf. The website has many features that you would expect from a service that could potentially revolutionise the way businesses and consumers interact.
Co-founder Patrick McPhee is pleased with the end result of the website. McPhee explains that a lot of planning, time and money went into the development of the Website. “We wanted to ensure that the website is world-class, which is why we developed it in-house. I wanted to keep a close eye on development as the website is the core of delivering outstanding service to our members,” says Mr McPhee.
Splurf has finally made it. If Splurf delivers on its promise to be the most customer centric service on the web then it will play a significant part in the lives of New Zealand’s consumers and businesses alike.

Text Alert Notification has been implemented to ensure businesses and members receive real time notification when they receive a Splurf. Splurf’s co-founder Nigel Lewis explains “most Businesses are taking up this option because they believe in providing potential customers outstanding service and by responding to enquiries quickly will put them in the driver’s seat, in addition the service is free”.
Splurf has also added a sponsorship aspect to text alert notification whereby Businesses can promote a special regarding their product or service. This is a powerful tool which allows Businesses to get there brand into the cell phone of those businesses in the same or similar industry.
Co-founder Patrick McPhee adds” Splurf is all about the customer, by providing the TAN (text alert notification) Businesses can operate more effectively and by providing them the option of accessing specials on products or services it gives Splurf Businesses collective purchasing power”
