Zone Franklin gears up to launch second stage
Following the successful Grand Opening of the first stage of the Zone Franklin Pukekohe on 16th September, Stage 2 of this newly extended centre is now leasing through DTZ’s Mark Calvert.
Owned by Glen Inger, former CEO of The Warehouse, through his private development company, Subway Investments Ltd, the second stage is due for completion in early or mid 2007 with tenancies available ranging in size from 540 sqm to 3000 sqm.
According to Mark Calvert, feedback from Stage 1 has been very positive with new tenants trading above expectation and in a buoyant mood. “All the available space in the first stage has been taken up barring one 470sqm tenancy, which could be subdivided if necessary,” he notes.
Comments from tenants has fuelled optimism for the success of the second stage. “We opened just over a month ago and things are going really well with excellent customer comments and feedback” says Kelly Harlick of No 1 Shoe Warehouse. “The response has been phenomenal!” comments an enthusiastic Margaret Storey, Manager of Postie Plus.
The new Zone Franklin development represents a major expansion for retail in Pukekohe. It both compliments and supports the current King Street shopping precinct by offering consumers an expanded choice by virtue of retailers not previously represented in the area.
“Without exception, all our Stage 1 tenants feel that the centre is exactly what the area needed. It’s a significant benefit to be based in Pukekohe as previously many of their customers had to travel to Manukau or Botany Downs for a similar shopping experience. They have all received good customer feedback regarding the car parking, size of shops and variety or traders,” says Mark Calvert.
