Revitalise the bedroom with NZ House & Garden
In a special bedrooms feature, the October issue of NZ House & Garden devotes particular attention to rooms of rest. The feature presents a range of different styles and suggestions for colour, texture, furnishings, and linen. Perfect for those thinking of a “spring clean”, there are plenty of ideas and inspiration for creating a haven of rest and relaxation.
“Bedrooms are a place we retire to for sanctuary and serenity – a break from the bustle of everyday life. As the place we come to each night for rest, these rooms deserve as much attention as the rest of our living areas,” says Michal McKay, Editorial Director.
“Our special Bedded Bliss feature has a range of ideas for those seeking to revitalise their bedroom for spring. From those who like bold, impactful décor to classic and neutral palates, our feature has ideas to inspire all tastes.”
NZ House & Garden also visits a cliff-top Takapuna home, owned by major art collectors Robin and Erika Congreve. The house breaks the mould of New Zealand architecture with its modernist design – and has been hailed by critics as one of the country’s top 100 houses.
A North Canterbury garden, patiently tended for 40 years, has recently been made a Garden of National Importance by the NZ Garden Trust. It will also be the setting for this year’s Art in the Garden – an annual event showcasing works of sculpture, painting, photography and other fine arts.
Also in the October issue:
- NZ House & Garden takes readers on a delicious picnic at sea – with recipes and suggestions for keeping the sailors content.
- A graceful Karori house is revamped by its new owners, with its previous owner’s full blessing.
- Local real estate agent Rossi White shows off her beautiful Pakiri beach home – filled with treasures and memories from her time in Bali.
- The Marlborough Sounds hide a garden where plants and flowers flourish without too much design control.
The new issue of NZ House & Garden magazine is on sale from Monday September 18 and retails for $8.95. Visit www.nzhouseandgarden.co.nz for inspiration and information 24/7.
