Queenstown Experts Pool Talent to Launch Luxury Development and Accommodation Business
An unparalleled merger of property and tourism experience creates a strong foundation for new Queenstown business,
Villasqueenstown.com.
Formed by Wayne Foley, Ross Marett and Bert Govan, Villasqueenstown represents a comprehensive bank of knowledge in the
development, tourism, sales and marketing, and accommodation industries.
The company, which specialises in villa development and exclusive property management, is formally joined by sister
company and luxury accommodation provider, The Villas In Queenstown.
The result is a full-service company supporting a range of clients from homebuyers and investors, to companies,
businesspeople and families looking for a unique holiday retreat.
As well as intimate knowledge of the Queenstown region and its unique culture, the Villasqueenstown team has a proven
track record in the construction of high-end property developments in premium locations, and the marketing and promotion
of many of those villas to the executive holiday and business rental market.
“This region is our home, so we know exactly how to secure a short or long term Queenstown experience for our clients,”
said Mr Foley.
“We take great pride in developing exceptional properties with secure lake and mountain views, which also create the
perfect location for a relaxing family holiday, weekend break or romantic trip.”
Villasqueenstown provides a full support service to investors and buyers, including assistance with appropriate
ownership structures, and turnkey fitouts as required.
Current projects include Commonage Close, a premium development of 14 villas set high on Queenstown Hill, due for
completion by mid April 2007. Ten of the villas have already sold, and by late December the Commonage Close lifestyle
will be showcased with the completion of three fully furnished villas.
Mr Foley said the Commonage Close villas continued to generate significant buyer interest.
“This demand is strongly linked to the fact that Commonage Close is Queenstown’s only truly alpine development. The
development fronts onto reserve land ensuring privacy and views are protected,” he said.
The company’s latest project, Killarney Way, is a development of eight exclusive lifestyle villas located on a
Queenstown Hill ridge, surrounded by trees and with stunning gardens.
Killarney Way resource consent has been filed. The development is scheduled for completion in 2008.
Exclusive property management for visitor stays is the second core service of Villasqueenstown. Elegant, privately
owned, and exquisitely furnished villas in Queenstown’s ‘dress circle’ locations are available for rental, via The
Villas In Queenstown.
Fifty percent of The Villas In Queenstown is owned by Vicki Hill, while Villasqueenstown’s Ross Marett, Wayne Foley and
Bert Govan own the remaining 50 percent.
Director Ross Marett said the company was seeing the dynamics of New Zealand tourism evolve.
“As flight prices continue to rise, budget travelers are making way for more upmarket visitors who often search for and
book their own high-standard accommodation,” he said.
“At The Villas In Queenstown we’re tracking and responding to the growing demand for exclusive luxury rental properties.
At the same time, with Villasqueenstown, we’re expertly positioned to offer an investment opportunity to the many
visitors who come here, then decide to secure their own slice of our coveted lifestyle.”
This accommodation aspect of the business combines management of luxurious villas with superior guest services for
executive holiday and business rental, complete with full room and concierge services.
Villas in the Commonage Close development and other Villasqueenstown developments in the pipeline will be added to the
accommodation ‘pool’ when they become available.
