New Zealand Luxury Accommodation Named Best in World
Four New Zealand properties have made a prestigious magazine’s list of the top twenty resorts and hideaways in the
world.
At the same time as New Zealand has come second in the UK Condé Nast Traveller Magazine reader vote for best country,
US-based Andrew Harper in his Hideaway Report has named Huka Lodge in Taupo as the fourth-best in a list of top 20
hideaways from around the world. Glenorchy’s Blanket Bay is sixth and Northland’s Kauri Cliffs came in at 10th.
Eichardt’s of Queenstown took out 17th place. Huka Lodge and Blanket Bay also made it into the list of top 20
International resorts.
Tourism New Zealand Chief Executive George Hickton said that New Zealand’s continuing appearance in Andrew Harper’s
lists illustrated the quality of New Zealand’s lodge accommodation.
"Our international visitors are increasingly demanding high quality experiences" says Mr Hickton. "Recognition in the
Hideaway Report shows that what we have to offer can meet those expectations. New Zealand lodges make regular
appearances in this publication - congratulations to the accommodation providers named for this recognition of their
continuing high standards."
