Mitsubishi Grandis Gets Sporty VRX Package
Dual sunroofs, leather trimmed seats, heated in the front, alloy pedals and a new exterior trim and wheels are just some of the features of the new seven seater Mitsubishi Grandis VRX family vehicle.
The 2007 model upgrade, with new bumpers, grille, front air dam, over fenders, 17 inch alloy wheels and integrated roof rails gives the seven seat people mover a smart new look. For ease of parking the new model also has parking sensors.
Other interior changes include a leather covered steering wheel and gear shift and an AM/FM radio with MP3 CD player and six speakers. Heavily tinted privacy glass is a standard fit but the dual sunroofs create a light airey feel inside the Grandis. The front sunroof has a manual opening and the centre unit has power slide.
The Grandis has full front, side and curtain airbags and a three point seat belt in the centre of each of the two rear rows of seats is fitted with an emergency locking retractor.
The addition of sports suspension improves the handling of the new model, which is powered by an economical 121 kW 2.4 litre MIVEC Euro 3 engine with a four speed sport mode transmission. Fitting 17 inch alloy wheels gives the Grandis VRX ground clearance of 170 mm, 15 mm more than the standard LS model.
The new Grandis VRX is priced at $43,990 while the standard LS is available at $37,990.
