PRESS RELEASE:
Web Drive Secures CallPlus Contract to Supply Business Services
28 August, 2006
Leading Auckland-based web hosting provider Web Drive has secured a contract to supply Web Hosting and Domain name services to CallPlus and Slingshot's 130,000 customers.
"This is a very smart move for the CallPlus group, and we're elated to be a part of it," said Web Drive Managing Director Daniel Williams. "CallPlus were looking for a reputable and dependable partner for the supply of website hosting services, and our wholesale product proved to be a perfect fit."
CallPlus's decision to outsource means they gain the benefit of nearly ten years experience from one of New Zealand's longest-established web hosting providers, who have invested over $250,000 in infrastructure and systems over recent years.
Working with Web Drive, CallPlus has put together a number of Windows and Linux webhosting plans that will be priced at competitive market rates, and will be available in the coming weeks.
"Using our systems, CallPlus will be able to offer a first-class service to its customers that is both competitive and profitable," said Williams. "We're also pretty pleased to be able to save them several thousand dollars per year over current supply agreements."
With the additional suite of business Internet services, CallPlus is one step closer to consolidating all communications services for its customers, by removing the need for multiple suppliers and billing arrangements.
For Web Drive the deal is further evidence that the company is achieving its vision of becoming New Zealand's leading wholesale provider of web hosting and Domain name services.
"To have CallPlus choose our platform is further proof that we are leading the market in this area," said Williams. "Watch this space."
