Vero recognised as Insurer of the Year by brokers
New Zealand insurance brokers have again selected Vero as the insurer of the year. The Insurance Brokers Association of
New Zealand awarded the 2006 ‘Insurer of the Year’ title to Vero at its annual conference in Adelaide last week.
The award is the insurance industry’s highest honour and this is the fourth time New Zealand’s leading brokers have
bestowed it on Vero. It follows soon after Vero received the prestigious ‘General Insurer of the Year’ award for
Australian and New Zealand General Insurers, awarded by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and
Finance.
Vero insurance products are sold solely through independent brokers who have wide and detailed knowledge of the
industry. The fact they work for their clients rather than insurers means they are determinedly customer focused.
Vero Chief Executive Roger Bell says, “The selection criteria for this award is based on rigorous customer focused
criteria such as claims efficiency, quality of service and client relationships.” He believes it’s Vero’s commitment to
continuous improvement across every facet of the business that gives it the edge.
“This commitment spurs us on to provide our broker partners with the necessary tools to enable them to give the best
possible customer service to their clients.”
“I am delighted with this recognition of success and extremely proud of the Vero people. Without their passion and
relentless drive towards our vision of becoming a world class provider of general insurance, this award would not have
been ours.”
