Stage two ready to open at Sylvia Park
Sylvia Park’s much anticipated fashion precinct is opening at 10am on Thursday, 24 August 2006 and will provide an extra 7500 m² of retail therapy for fashionistas across the city, with over 50 fashion stores ready to open their doors.
Auckland City recommends that visitors to the complex should think about travelling outside peak commuter hours and pre-plan their journey including finding out which entrances and parking are best for where they need to go. Visitors should consider catching a bus as an alternative to driving to Sylvia Park.
Directional signage will be in place to guide motorists to entry and exit points, and variable message signs will advise motorists to use Carbine Road or the south-eastern highway depending on traffic conditions. Motorists are reminded that there are multiple entry points to the Sylvia Park complex.
The stage one opening week in early June, saw an unprecedented number of people visiting the complex. Auckland City urges visitors to look at the various travel choices available when planning their visit.
Sylvia Park is Auckland’s newest retail destination, bringing a new dynamic to the city’s southeast. Once complete, the project will be the largest retail and entertainment centre in New Zealand.
