Ernst & Young Appoints Six New Principals
Ernst & Young New Zealand is pleased to announce the appointment of six individuals as Principals. Each new Principal demonstrates superb professionalism and commitment to both clients and the firm. They are:
Rajan Chopara - Transaction Advisory Services, Auckland Rajan has 18 years experience working in New Zealand, Hong Kong and India in a variety of roles in consulting, manufacturing and trading environments. He specialises in the valuations of businesses and intangible assets, capital structure analysis and financial modelling.
Martin Friedhoff - Technical Consulting Group, Auckland Martin is on secondment from Ernst & Young Germany. He has nine years experience, including five in a technical consulting role. In Germany he began specialising on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) from 1999 and has extensive experience in financial instruments accounting and the utility industry. While on a half-year secondment with the German Stock Exchange in Frankfurt Martin worked in the listing department on international accounting related issues.
Samantha Hale - Attest, Auckland Samantha has 14 years experience auditing subsidiaries of overseas multinational companies, as well as New Zealand government entities and locally owned and operated businesses, specifically in the healthcare and retirement village sectors. She is also involved in providing other assurance related services including reviews, internal audit and financial due diligence.
Louise Hall - Quality & Risk Management, Auckland Louise has worked with Ernst & Young Auckland for over 10 years. She started as an audit graduate in 1996 and currently works in Quality and Risk Management assisting the firm deliver on its quality commitment to its clients.
Rachel Hughes - Attest, Wellington Rachel has 10 years experience working in both New Zealand and the UK. Rachel specialises in providing audit services to local government and the SME market but also has experience in the forestry and property industries. She is also involved in providing other assurance related services and IFRS transition advice.
Sarah Kinahan - Attest, Auckland Sarah has worked for Ernst & Young for 7 years in both the UK and New Zealand. Her time with the UK firm focused on audit services for FTSE 100 FMCG companies. Since moving to New Zealand she has continued to focus on FMCG and increasingly the entertainment sector. She specialises in providing audit, IFRS advisory and transaction support services to a range of multinational, New Zealand owned and NZ listed entities.
