AutoTrader.co.nz Launches Unique Car Search Solution
Visitors to Autotrader.co.nz will see some dramatic changes to the website, which is already the country’s biggest
automotive market place with nearly 40,000 cars and access to 20,000 boats, bikes and other vehicles.
From August 8, Autotrader.co.nz will offer a dynamic new search tool powered by Endeca, which offers a whole host of new
search and shopping functions that enables users to find, analyse and understand car buying in ways never before
possible. Major corporations around the world are already utilising Endeca search technology for their leading shopping
sites, such as IBM, Walmart and Tesco. Trader Group is the first New Zealand Company to adopt the software.
“Autotrader.co.nz will offer the only search tool of its kind for a New Zealand site,” says Tina Clyma, marketing
manager for Trader Group, “Both new and used car buyers will be able to find vehicles faster integrated with reviews and
road tests to read through to help with their purchasing decisions.”
“Autotrader.co.nz is all about making life easier, whether you are looking for a specific vehicle or a vehicle based on
your lifestyle needs such as a topical diesel car for your budget.” says Clyma. “How long have you searched for
something online only to be presented with too many results or none at all? Autotrader.co.nz’s new guided search ensures
you will always get a result or suggested alternatives for you.”
Autotrader.co.nz has also revved up the editorial on the site covering news, reviews and Motorsport. Visitors can now
read daily race reports and profiles in addition to reading about their favourite cars and breaking news.
The Auto Trader brand celebrates its 25th birthday this year. The brand’s total audience reach continues to grow with
the weekly national publication now complimented by nine regional auto publications and the fast growing
autotrader.co.nz website.
Over the coming months Autotrader.co.nz will be adding further leading search and shopping solutions with the new Endeca
search software.
