First Assistance Appoints New HR And It Managers
First Assistance, New Zealand’s leading provider of assistance services to people and businesses, has appointed two new senior staff.
Christine Canfield has been appointed Human Resources (HR) Manager and Richard Presling is the company’s new Information Technology (IT) Manager.
Christine’s role involves managing all HR and training needs to enhance staff development and promote service delivery for both First Assistance and its subsidiary company SurePlan NZ (vehicle risk / accident management specialists).
Christine brings more than 15 years of HR experience to this role, including four years with Navman and six years prior to that with Ernst & Young.
Christine is a member of the HR Institute and an Associate of the NZ Institute of Management.
As IT Manager, Richard Presling will be responsible for overseeing the IT requirements of First Assistance and SurePlan NZ, ensuring alignment between company business objectives and the systems required to support them.
Prior to taking up this role, Richard was IT Manager for DFS Galleria New Zealand and New Caledonia for nine years, before taking up the role as a Retail Specialist for Logical CSI Ltd selling IBM solutions. He more recently worked as an Account Manager for Integral Technology.
First Assistance provides specialist 24 x 7 assistance services to travellers, expatriates, home owners and vehicle owners in their time of need - as well as providing a range of tailored business solutions to blue chip clients in New Zealand and around the world.
