Vero first NZ Company to be awarded title
Vero Insurance New Zealand Limited is the first New Zealand company to be awarded the General Insurance Company of the Year title by the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
The award was announced in Sydney this week and Chief Executive Roger Bell says he’s very proud that the collective effort of the whole Vero team has been recognised in this way. “Winning this award has been a very exciting affirmation from a panel of international judges of our achievement against a number of best practice measures.”
These measures include financial management and other key areas such as claims and customer service. But importantly, they also recognise performance in areas such as innovation, industry leadership and professionalism.
“We are delighted that these qualities have been recognised across the Australian and New Zealand marketplace. Vero is committed to standing out both as an industry leader but also as a company with a distinct way of doing business that reflects our attention to performance excellence across every facet of our business”, says Mr Bell.
Vero attained an Achievement Award Silver Level from the New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation in 2004 and is currently pursuing a programme of work to attain a Gold – World Class award.
