NZB NATIONAL BROODMARE SALE PREVIEW:
Timely Opportunity for Investment at Karaka this August
A quality catalogue has been assembled for this year's National Broodmare & Mixed Bloodstock Sale at Karaka, with 365 lots set to go under the hammer on Sunday 6 and Monday 7 August.
With an injection of $8 million directly into stake money next season and an additional $5 million to benefit the thoroughbred code as a result of revisions to gambling take-out rates, the New Zealand racing industry is set for a revival.
New Zealand Bloodstock's Marketing & Public Relations Manager, Petrea Vela, commented: "The promised tax changes in New Zealand have given our industry a new boost of confidence and the Sale is a timely opportunity for breeders to start benefiting immediately."
" We are pleased with the selection on offer at next month's Broodmare Sale, which gives buyers the opportunity to both buy into proven families here in New Zealand and also acquire imported mares with international appeal."
And with New Zealand's dollar tumbling 12% in the first quarter, overseas buyers have even greater incentive to source their bloodstock from New Zealand.
