July 20 Edition Of The BNZ Weekly Overview
This week we learnt that inflation has hit an 11 year high of 4%, the housing market remains firm, net migration inflows continue to improve, and consumer pessimism has reduced. These are not developments which will please the Reserve Bank and while we feel it would be wrong to panic about inflation and the RB having to respond with further tightening, we should all be concerned about their failure to keep inflation low.
