It has carved itself a place as the leading breeze up Sale in the Southern Hemisphere, and New Zealand Bloodstock says
this year's Ready to Run Sale at Karaka is already promising good things.
With just days remaining before close of entries (Friday 21 July), NZB is confident there will be plenty of interest in
this year's offering based on the quality of entries already received, and given the ever-increasing popularity of New
Zealand's breeze up Sale.
The New Zealand Sale has lead the way with its state-of-the-art breeze up technology and pioneering measures to preserve
the Sale's integrity, a reputation that is paying dividends for vendors.

now impressive record of success that has resulted from the Sale, buyer confidence is one of the keys to its success."
The Sale holds great appeal for buyers from Asia in particular, where there is distinct attraction of having the horses
reared and educated in New Zealand and virtually 'ready to run' as soon as they hit home soil.
With New Zealand horses Big Easy and Opposing Force holding the reigning Singapore and Malaysian Horse of the Year
titles respectively, that interest is likely to be as high as ever. Plus key changes to tax structures, prizemoney and
ownership initiatives in Singapore and Malaysia over the past year or so are helping to promote investment by owners
there.
In Australia, this season's Group 1 winners Marju Snip (Marju x Aulide) and Perlin (Carnegie x Midnight Madam) are the
newest top performing graduates of the NZB Ready to Run Sale.
"Good results at this Sale always have a positive flow on effect at yearling sale time as well, as pinhookers and
investors are reminded of the trading opportunities at that Sale. A strong selection of Ready to Run entries this year
will ensure the success continues at Karaka this November."
The all-time highest priced lot at this Sale came in November last year when a Zabeel colt out of Foreign Copy (by Bold
Venture) offered by Esker Lodge, fetched NZ$420,000. Bought by Ginger Tankard's Waikato Bloodstock 2000 Ltd, the colt,
now called Treasure Tree, is a full brother to Group 1 winner, Cronus.
The successful format of this Sale remains unchanged this year, with the Sale once again offering Select and General
Sessions. It will be compulsory for all Select Session entrants to breeze up, with official Breeze Ups scheduled to be
conducted at the Waikato Racing Club's Te Rapa racecourse on 26 & 27 October.
Entries for the 2006 New Zealand Bloodstock Ready to Run Sale close on Friday 21 July. The Sale will take place at
