Gas Provisional Authorisation not to be amended
The Commerce Commission will not amend the Provisional Authorisation for supply of the controlled gas distribution services of Powerco and Vector.
The Commission had indicated in its Process Paper released on 2 June 2006 that, in light of the decision to extend the proposed timeframe for the Final Authorisation, it was considering whether to amend the Provisional Authorisation.
After consulting on the matter the Commission released a paper today explaining its reasons for not amending the Provisional Authorisation.
The Commission’s focus is now on progressing towards a Final Authorisation.
The document’s full title is: Authorisation for the Control of Supply of Natural Gas Distribution Services by Vector Ltd and Powerco Ltd: Decision on Consideration of Amending Provisional Authorisation, 7 July 2006.
It can be found on the Commission’s website www.comcom.govt.nz under Regulatory Control Enquiries/Regulated Gas Control.
