Rodney poised for greater growth thanks to increased road funding.
The already popular Rodney/Matakana area is poised for a big property boost according to Warkworth real estate identity
Ben Kloppers.
Kloppers, recently named Harveys Real Estate ‘Auctioneer of the year’, says the just announced $560 million spend on
improving road links in the Auckland region by Land Transport New Zealand will not only make the region more accessible
by road, but will also increase property values.
Kloppers, who is currently selling a tranquil lifestyle block on the outskirts of Warkworth for $1.3 million, says
“we’ve had increased interest recently, particularly from Aucklanders wanting to buy before the motorway is completed
and prices increase.”
“We hear of people from Auckland and further away waiting to move their businesses closer to Albany or the Warkworth
area.”
The 1.9 hectare property, situated only five minutes from Warkworth, is fenced into six paddocks of gently sloping
pastures, with a creek running through the middle and surrounding trees creating a private haven.
The architecturally designed two-year-old home, which is showered by sun and sheltered by wind, has been created with
spaciousness in mind. It hosts three large bedrooms, spacious living areas and a gourmet kitchen.
Not only is the homes spaciousness emphasised through its ever expanding one level layout, but it also displays grand
2.2 metre high doorways and an unusually high stud.
Ben says those attracted to the property are Aucklanders wanting to move out of the city yet still remain nearby,
retired farmers moving down from Northland and also offshore investors attracted by the lower $NZ.
