CANON APPOINTS NATIONAL MANAGER CUSTOMER CARE
Canon New Zealand has appointed Mike Johnston to the position of National Manager Customer Care, giving him nationwide responsibility for delivery of all aspects of Canon’s customer experience.
This pivotal role provides leadership to all core elements of customer care, in both pre and post sales environments, for the Business and Consumer sales and marketing channels. Within Canon, Customer Care brings together all customer touch points, ranging from telephone enquiries received into the Business Services groups in Auckland and Christchurch, physical customer visits into Branch Offices, through to providing more traditional customer support, repair and service to Canon’s Consumer and Business customers through a nationwide field and workshop technical workforce.
Prior to his appointment, Mike held a number of commercial, operational and general management roles at TelstraClear.
Commenting on the appointment Canon New Zealand managing director, Tony Wills, said: “Mike brings significant skills and experience to this important role, which will enable Canon to build on our current success and help ensure we achieve our goal for 2006 and beyond.”

CANON APPOINTS RETAIL CHANNEL MANAGER
Canon New Zealand has appointed Brad Gibbons as Retail Channel Manager for its Consumer Imaging Products Group. Brad will be responsible for managing relationships with Canon New Zealand’s retail partners.
This is a new position at Canon and part of the company’s new channel management structure which has seen dedicated senior managers appointed to head up each of the three key channels of photo, retail and commercial.
Commenting on his appointment, Craig Manson, national manager, Consumer Imaging Products Group, Canon New Zealand said: “Brad brings a wealth of skills and experience to this important role. With a strong account management team behind him, Canon is now well placed to really maximise opportunities within this channel.”
Prior to his appointment Brad was a National Account Manager at Heinz Watties.

CANON MARKETING APPOINTMENTS
Canon New Zealand has made two appointments within its business division – the Business Imaging Solutions Group (BISG).
Tara Worley has been appointed Marketing Operations Manager, responsible for the BISG Product Management and Marketing Team. This role also includes marketing support for Canon's Production and Graphic Arts division for professional print businesses.
Tara was previously Sales Operations Manager and was responsible for tenders.
Canon has also appointed Robert de Jeu to the position of Product Manager – Paper and Consumables within the BISG Marketing Team. Robert has worked at Canon since winning the 2005 Canon Scholarship offered to business students at Massey University in Auckland. The scholarship included a work placement with Canon New Zealand which led to his current appointment.
Robert is responsible for overall product management of the paper and consumables business.
