New Ports of Auckland Chairman elected
Mr Gary Judd QC is the new Chairman of the Ports of Auckland Limited Board of Directors.
Mr Judd joined the Board in June and was elected Chairman, effective 1 July 2006, at a meeting of the Board this week.
In addition to his new position, Mr Judd is Chairman of ASB Bank Limited and ASB Group (Life) Limited.
Mr Judd was appointed a Queens Counsel in 1995, practising litigation principally in areas of civil and commercial law, administrative law, copyright and other intellectual property law, and taxation.
Mr Judd was a partner at Cairns Slane, leaving in 1987. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Auckland and is a fellow of the Institute of Directors.
Mr Judd assumes the role of Ports of Auckland Chairman upon the retirement of current Chairman Mr Neville Darrow on 30 June 2006.
