RSA SecurID® Appliance Awarded Best SME Security Appliance
Sydney, June 19, 2006 – RSA Security Inc. (NASDAQ: RSAS) secured its global leadership position as innovative developers of IT security applications when it was named Best Global Security Company at the SC Awards 2006 ceremony held in London in late April. The company was honoured ahead of other finalists including 3Com Corporation, Trend Micro, Symantec Corporation and Juniper Networks.
RSA SecurID Appliance was also acknowledged in the 2006 SC Awards for Best SME Security Appliance at SC Magazine’s U.S.-based ceremony, held during the RSA® Conference earlier this year. This recognition of RSA Security follows on from recent awards including the Virgin Blue New Investment in Brisbane Award and RSA Security’s listing by MIS New Zealand as being ‘one of the top 50 IT companies you can’t ignore’.
“RSA Security has had a tremendous year of successful execution on our approach to building and selling innovative identity and access management and anti-fraud solutions across all channels. We have introduced new products focused on strong authentication, key management and encryption, and revamped and re-launched the RSA SecurWorld™ channel partner program to great effect,” said Steve Terry, Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand, RSA Security. “We are excited that our strategy and solutions have been recognised in this way, but we will not be resting on our laurels. We have already forged ahead with new initiatives designed to ensure that enterprises and end-users alike will benefit from ever-greater flexibility and choice while using our industry-leading technology.”
The SC Magazine Awards program, now in its ninth year, is a global program created to recognise excellence and professional achievement in the information security industry. With more than 1,300 product and service nominations from more than 330 competing companies globally, the SC Magazine Awards are one of the world's leading awards programs for the information security industries in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Terry continued, “SC Magazine’s Best Global Security Company award is also a validation of the accomplishments of the RSA Consumer Solutions division. Building off the December 2005 acquisition of Cyota, Inc., and coupled with our recent acquisition of PassMark Security, RSA Security has furthered its leadership in strong authentication with an unmatched offering of adaptive, risk-based authentication and anti-fraud solutions to protect online identities and transactions.”
