The bar awards is the first awards ceremony dedicated to New Zealand's bar and bartending industry and recognises the hard work of bar professionals over the last year. The attached PDF includes all the finalists in each category. These leading venues have been selected from thousands of trade votes submitted from all around New Zealand. The winners will be determined by a panel of industry professionals who will cast their final votes in August.
In addition, Spanton Media Group will hold the inaugural New Zealand Bartender Magazine's Bartender of the Year Competition with the support of premium liqueur brand Grand Marnier. 40 of New Zealand's finest bartenders will compete at Auckland BarShow to take out the prestigious honour of being Bartender Magazine's Bartender of the Year, a trip to Sydney BarShow in September and a cash prize of $1000.
David Spanton, Managing Director of Spanton Media Group and Editor-in-chief of New Zealand Bartender magazine says: "This awards night is a great opportunity for New Zealand's hospitality trade leaders to network with their industry peers and be congratulated for their achievements over the last year."
The New Zealand bar awards is being held in conjunction with the inaugural Auckland BarShow 2006, providing the perfect networking function for Day Two of the event which will be held at Auckland's Alinghi Base on 22 & 23 August, 2006.
