June 15 edition of the BNZ Weekly Overview.
The Kiwi dollar is little changed from a week ago while wholesale interest rates have also not moved by much. The central global theme at the moment is rising world inflation which is expected to produce at least one more increase in United States interest rates of 0.25% and on top of all the other domestic inflationary pressures leave monetary policy in New Zealand unchanged until perhaps well into 2007.
