Emirates Offers Business and First Class Treats
Emirates Airline has a double treat in store for New Zealand travellers using its premium classes.
The Dubai-based airline, which flies four times daily from New Zealand to Dubai and beyond via Australia, has launched
special trans-Tasman business and first class fares for the rest of the year until December.
And for travel from June 15 to August 31 to or through Dubai, it will be offering first and business class customers
free nights in deluxe hotel rooms in the Emirates hub.
Commenting on the trans-Tasman fares, Chris Lethbridge, Emirates New Zealand manager, said: "We have a solid following
of premium class travellers, who have recognised we offer a superior experience in business and first class. With these
attractive fares, we feel we will encourage even more customers to premium class travel on Emirates.
"All flights are operated by modern, wide-bodied Airbus A340-500 or Boeing 777 aircraft so there are no compromises in
the type of service offered, which is in line with our award-winning international standard available to all 84
destinations on our network."
Emirates will offer business class at $1093 return and first class at $1293. In both cases, the fares are inclusive of
fuel surcharges and exclusive of taxes (up to $127, depending on which airport). The maximum stay is 30 days and all
travel must be completed by November 30.
Emirates flies daily from Auckland to Sydney, Melbourne and Christchurch and daily from Christchurch to Sydney. All
services fly on to Dubai, with connections to Emirates' direct flights to other parts of the Middle East, Africa and 20
European destinations.
While Emirates' first class passengers travelling to Dubai from anywhere on the network receive two complimentary nights
in a deluxe room at the Ritz Carlton Dubai, business class passengers can stay overnight in a deluxe room at the
Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Both classes of travellers can also choose between US$100 credit at their hotel or a Sundowner
dune dinner safari. The offer also includes a 96-hour visa.
The accommodation includes breakfast and all applicable taxes and service charges. The US$100 credit per person can be
used towards food and beverage and/or spa facilities.
The offer applies to First and Business Class passengers travelling exclusively on flights operated by Emirates to or
via Dubai from various points on Emirates' network. Travel must originate outside the UAE and turnaround passengers or
those travelling on frequent flyer redemption tickets cannot apply. Accommodation has to be pre-booked and need not be
used immediately on arrival in Dubai.
Commenting on the Dubai hotel offer, Chris Lethbridge said: "Emirates is always looking for ways to provide customers
even greater value for money. The airline's initiatives along these lines have been successful in attracting huge
numbers of visitors to Dubai every year."
Emirates flights depart Auckland daily at 3.50pm, 4.55pm and 5.50pm, and depart daily from Christchurch at 6.10pm.
