Millbrook continues focus on growth in conference and incentive market
Amy Reynders
The continuing strong growth of conference and incentive business has led to Queenstown’s five-star Millbrook resort
stepping up its C focus.
Millbrook’s popularity within the C market has seen it expand its reach with the appointment of a specialist Auckland-based tourism marketing company to
drive business from within New Zealand and overseas, and the elevation of Amy Reynders to the position of Millbrook’s
Sales Manager Conference and Incentive.
Delegates who come to town are generally high-yielding, long staying and high-spending, and Ms Reynders is looking
forward to working with Sarah Hillman and Tania Adolphe of Tourism Marketing Solutions Ltd to ensure even greater
numbers experience what Millbrook and Queenstown have to offer.
Ms Reynders has worked at Millbrook for a year in the position of sales co-ordinator, and previously spent two years
with Conference Innovators Ltd of Christchurch. She said it was important for Millbrook to use the resources of a
specialist company in an increasingly competitive market.
“We are getting the word out that Millbrook has a number of unique attributes that truly set it apart from its
competitors around Australasia,” she said.
The directors of Tourism Marketing Solutions Ltd have over 40 years’ combined experience in the hotel and tourism
industry in Australasia. They have worked with many high level hotel brands including SKYCITY, Hyatt Hotels and Regent International, and sales and marketing for several smaller resort properties in holiday, golf and convention
destinations.
Ms Reynders said Millbrook had a range of conference facilities to suit meetings up to 130 with further breakout
options.
“It also has a championship golf course in an inspiring and invigorating location, a history of tradition that spans 150
years, luxury accommodation with a French influence, exceptional dining options and of course The Spa at Millbrook, with
its leading edge treatments,”she said.
