Press Release:
Vintage boots inspired by rural Canterbury roots
It’s a match made in heaven. Kiwi icons – the ugg boot, the tweed suit and the homespun jersey – brought together in a
boots that are pure vintage style without sacrificing any ugg snugness. It’s a fashionable collision along the lines of
Swanndri by Karen Walker.
Acca Lane boots, manufactured by Lapco in Christchurch, have taken vintage wool suits and classic woollen knits and
re-interpreted them into a winter wool-lined boot.
Vintage boots
Vintage wool suits are lovingly crafted into stylish vintage boots that reflect New Zealand’s wool manufacturing
heritage and evoke a retro charm. Suits are selected for their quality, patterns and detailing. Each pair of boots is
hand cut to bring out the charm of the original suit and make best use of features like pockets, button holes, belt
loops, stitching and pleats. This is recycling at its best. Each pair is unique.
Snowflake
Inspired by the cosy jumpers mum used to knit, the Snowflake boot is made of pure New Zealand wool, knitted in
Christchurch into a snowflake pattern. The wool-lined boots are so retro-cute and cosy, you’ll never want to take them
off.
