FARO Announces New Distribution Agreement

FARO Announces New Distribution Agreement with Hi-Tech Metrology for Australia and New Zealand
FARO Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: FARO), the world's single source for a
complete line of portable CAM2 solutions, announced that Hi-Tech Metrology --
one of Australia's leading suppliers of metrology equipment -- is the Company's
new, exclusive agent in Australia and New Zealand.

FARO's products will be demonstrated at Hi-Tech Metrology's stand (D80) at
the AUSTECH 2006 exhibition in Sydney from 30 May to 02 June 2006. For the
remainder of June, Hi-Tech Metrology will conduct personalised demonstrations
and measurements of client's components at the purpose-built AUSTOOL facility
at Ingleburn, southeast of Sydney.
