A Star arrives in Auckland
P Cruises’ latest Australasian ship Pacific Star makes her debut visit to New Zealand tomorrow(May 27).
The newly refurbished liner arrives in Auckland early in the morning and departs later the same day for her inaugural cruise to Fiji, Samoa and Tonga.
Pacific Star sails on eight Auckland-based cruises throughout the winter months before heading back to Brisbane in August where she continues her Queensland, Fiji, New Caledonia and Vanuatu programme.
P Cruises’ New Zealand Manager Shannon Currie says interest in cruising the Pacific Islands this winter has been unprecedented.
“Cruising continues to grow in popularity with more and more people discovering its benefits. As well as having to unpack only once, P Cruises’ fares include all main meals and entertainment, making it a very affordable holiday option,” says Mr Currie.
The 1,400-passenger Pacific Star has four dining venues including a pizzeria, buffet, main restaurant and alternative dining restaurant, three swimming pools and open air jacuzzis and wide, open decks.
Pacific Star arrived in Brisbane late last year after relocating from the Europe-based Costa Cruises where she sailed as Costa Tropicale.
