Luxury Gisborne Apartments Offer Best Of Both Worlds
The development of the former Inland Revenue Building in Gisborne has resulted in luxury apartments with expansive city
and sea views and is set to attract huge interest offering a minimum care, maximum enjoyment lifestyle.
Emerald Victoria Plaza, marketed by Harveys Gisborne, offers Executive Apartments and Penthouse Suites, ranging in price
from $680,000 to $1.6 million. The top floor of the north tower features four two bedroom executive apartments, one of
which has already sold. The apartments enjoy expansive river and city views and range in size from 93m2 ($680,000) up to
the more spacious 121m2 ($690,000).
The south tower features two stunning penthouse suites, ranging in size from 197m2 ($1.6million) to 205m2 ($1.4million)
which enjoy inner harbour, river and city views. The suites contain two spacious bedrooms with European styled ensuite
bathrooms and ultra modern kitchens. Accessed via a ‘glass tube’ style lift, the layout makes living in these apartments
a dream of ease and convenience.
According to Harveys Gisborne Principal, Philip Searle, “the apartments would appeal to those wanting to spend more time
on the things they enjoy most. They are ideal for busy executives, those who have recently sold a farm or business, or
someone just wanting to enjoy the luxury of apartment living,” he says.
When Property developers Emerald Group purchased the building with a view to developing a modern, luxury hotel, they
were immediately taken with the outstanding views, particularly from the fourth floor and decided to reserve it for
luxury apartments. The first three floors of the building are part of the Emerald Hotel complex.
All properties are freehold titles but residents have the added bonus of making full use of the hotel’s services,
including getting room service delivered directly from the hotel restaurant, or they can swim lengths of the heated pool
or relax in the spa and work out in the fully equipped gym. There is even the option of leasing your apartment through
the hotel booking system.
The Building is currently under construction with the apartments due for completion in the next 3 months. “There has
been a lot of local interest from retiree’s to business professionals looking for a low maintenance central abode,” says
Mr Searle.
“There are other apartments in Gisborne, but where these differ is that they offer views of the sea, river and harbour
basin. They are of a very high standard,” he says.
Gisborne is fast becoming a sophisticated, contemporary, upbeat community and has developed a thriving retail and café
scene with a growing number of sophisticated eateries and wine bars. The attraction of its coastal/rural setting
boasting world famous surfing beaches, fishing, diving and a range of other sporting and recreational activities, all
within five minutes of the CBD, appeals to a variety of local and offshore buyers.
