people to post items that they’re looking to buy.
Within the seven days since Zillion launched the section, nearly 500 Wanted notices have already been posted, making it
New Zealand’s largest online Wanted facility for everyday consumer items.
The Wanted listings make for fascinating reading and provide insight into the wants, needs and desires of everyday New
Zealanders, such as:
• Old and unusual spark plugs to add to a collection of 4500 at the spark plug museum, Christchurch
• Adult owner of small Teletubbie cup with picture of LaLa desperately seeking Po, TinkyWinky and Dipsy
• A masquerage mask for a school ball
• A Vanilla Coke addict who can’t find any cans in Auckland
• Girl poodles to meet a miniature apricot boy poodle for stud service – girls must pay $500 each
• A Rolex watch to replace a lost one – doesn’t matter if it goes or not…
• A Chimpanzee soft toy with rubber hands and feet
“It’s not just a service for buyers looking for specific items, but it also works well for sellers, allowing them to see
what products are in demand,” explains Zillion co-founder, Dylan Bland.
Not only can sellers browse the Wanted listings to see if they’ve got anything that meets the demand, but an email
notification service has also been included.
“So if you can’t find what you’re looking for, post a free Wanted notice and Zillion will send you an email when a
seller responds by listing an item that matches what you’re looking for,” continues Bland.
