Thrive Auckland Sells Out in Record Time
2000 Seats Snapped Up To “Big Day Out For Business”
27 April 2005: Thrive Auckland, New Zealand’s biggest event for business, has officially sold out. All 2000 seats for next Wednesday’s event at the Aotea Centre have been snapped up by Auckland business people keen to share a day of success secrets delivered by a panel of New Zealand’s leading entrepreneurs.
Presented by the Employers and Manufacturers Association (Northern), Thrive is the ultimate ‘big day out for business’ and this year’s capacity event is the fastest selling in Thrive’s six-year history.
“Thrive Auckland has become a mainstay of the Auckland business event calendar’ says EMA Chief Executive Alasdair Thompson. “And with all the talk about New Zealand entering into a period of low growth, Thrive Auckland, with its focus on strategies for business success, has never been more relevant”.
At Thrive Auckland 2006, MC Mike Hosking will introduce another Thrive dream team. Trelise Cooper will describe how she built a fashion empire into the stuff of dreams. Motor sport legend Greg Murphy, fresh from Pukekohe will talk for the first time about building and leading his multi-million dollar race team. Michael Hill returns to Thrive, with his incredible story of global success against all the odds. And Craig Norgate, will explain how he has remained at the top of his field as Wrightson’s entrepreneur-in-chief.
These speakers and more, including Finance Minister Dr Michael Cullen, real estate supremo Michael Boulgaris, New Zealand Rugby Union Deputy CEO Steve Tew and NZX Boss Mark Weldon will present their stories in a high-impact theatrical setting, complete with entertainment from Goldenhorse, and a fashion show from Trelise Cooper.
Thrive Auckland also includes a trade show featuring a showcase of the latest products and services for business and concludes with a cocktail function and networking event at which delegates will get the opportunity to meet personally with some of the speakers.
“All of us at the EMA are delighted with the response to Thrive Auckland 2006” says Alasdair Thompson. “We’re looking forward to an exciting and inspirational day at the Aotea Centre next Wednesday”.
* There are still places available at the Thrive Auckland trade show. This is a high quality opportunity to showcase brands and products to Auckland’s business decision-makers. For more information, please contact Deborah Delaney on (09) 522 6755 or visit www.thriveauckland.co.nz
