'Queen Betty'
Queen Betty Messent of Waitakere city took out the grand prize in the Newmarket Business Association's Queen look-a-like competition. Queen Betty gets to enjoy a $500 worth of vouchers and the chance to keep the blue rinse well maintained at Rodney Wayne
Initially contest organiser Cameron Brewer of the Newmarket Business Association had considered the winner might be someone who looks like a young Princess Elizabeth however on the day contest entrants seemed to favour the more mature Queen we know and love today.
