Is the Hotel Industry Finally 'Set To Boom'?
Most industry analysts consider that Australia, New Zealand & the Pacific's hotel and resort markets are facing the most promising trading outlook in the past twenty years. Buoyant
economic conditions, record visitor arrival numbers and growing demand from burgeoning markets such as China, all point
to potentially strong growth in revenues and profits in the near term.
But are investors and operators really about to experience a long awaited industry boom, or will events conspire like on
so many past occasions, to cause the reality to fall short of expectations? With surging investor confidence resulting
in record prices being paid for hotels, the answer to this question is crucial to both current and prospective hotel
owners, as well as to hotel management companies whose task is to deliver on the emerging opportunities.
To address this and other key industry issues, leading hotel and resort owners, operators and other stakeholders from
all sectors of the industry will meet at the Hilton Sydney on 21 & 22 June 2006 for the Australia, New Zealand & Pacific Hotel Investment Conference (ANZPHIC 2006). The Conference (in its 6th year) will again be jointly hosted by
real estate advisers Sonnenblick Goldman, hotel consultants Horwath Asia Pacific and lawyers Blake Dawson Waldron.
Over 400 delegates are expected to attend the Conference, which is a sell-out annual event. ANZPHIC 2006 will receive
the largest ever industry support, with 18 major sponsors - including 10 of the region's leading hotel investors and
operators and 8 leading service providers - as well as every major industry body in the region, all providing support.
