Dairy InSight appoints new Chief Executive
Industry good investor Dairy InSight has appointed David Wright as its new Chief Executive.
“David will bring to Dairy InSight a wealth of experience and knowledge from both the primary industry and the government sector,” said Dairy InSight Chairman Doug Leeder.
David grew up on a third generation dairy farm in the Waikato and went on to graduate from Massey University with a Bachelor of Technology in Food Technology.
He then spent 25 years in the meat industry working for processing and exporting companies as well as the New Zealand Meat Producers Board in a variety of technical, production and marketing roles both in New Zealand and in Europe.
From the meat industry he went on to the Land Transport Safety Authority as their Chief Executive and Director of Land Transport Safety. In recent months he has been consulting for government agencies and private sector companies focusing on strategic planning and organisational performance.
“I am excited to be joining Dairy InSight and look forward to contributing to the profitability of this innovative and crucial industry,” said Mr Wright.
“In my first months at Dairy InSight I look forward to meeting industry stakeholders and most importantly our levy paying dairy farmer members.”
David will begin work at Dairy InSight on the 1st of May.
