This mornings protest by Slingshot founder Annette Presley on the affordability of broadband in New Zealand is viewed by
Orcon as a creative way to throw some 'dough' at highlighting a national issue. While we are sure Telecom will view the
stunt as 'half-baked' and possibly nothing more than a 'flour-y' attempt at headline grabbing, however Orcon stands with
Ms. Presley, and agrees there is a real 'knead' for change.
"It doesn't take a lot of 'grains' to appreciate that New Zealand needs improvements in it's broadband offerings to
compete with the rest of the world; and we are encouraged by the government taking time to 'ferment' on the issue" says
Orcon's General Manager of Operations and Regulatory Scott Bartlett.
