Pizza Hut Aligns Agencies
Restaurant Brands confirmed today it had moved advertising and media agencies for its Pizza Hut brand, effective from 1 February 2006.
Advertising will now be handled by M Saatchi New Zealand, which brings it into in line with Pizza Hut Australia, while Carat New Zealand will take over Pizza Hut’s media buying.
Restaurant Brands’ chief executive Vicki Salmon said it made commercial and creative sense to align advertising with that of Pizza Hut Australia.
“Furthermore, we have always had a good relationship with Carat and are pleased to be working with them again in the media area.”
Carat New Zealand’s managing director Robert Roydhouse said the agency’s appointment was a tremendous way to start the new year.
“The move reflects the strong relationship between Restaurant Brands and the work Carat achieved previously for KFC.”
Carat is New Zealand’s leading independent media organisation and achieved a record year of new business wins in 2005. It has annual billings in New Zealand of approximately $80 million and is part of the world’s largest independent media and communications group Aegis Plc.
