Kids Can Cruise Free This Winter
Take the children overseas this winter and P Cruises will pick up the tab for their fares on either of two South Pacific voyages departing from Auckland on Pacific Star.

The cruise line’s “Kids Sail Free”* offer is available on June 9 and July 11 departures, the latter during the school holidays.
Add in early booking discounts of up to 40 per cent and a family of four can get an 11-night tropical getaway starting as low as NZ$5030 all main meals and accommodation included.
The 35,000 tonne Pacific Star is P Cruises’ newest Australasian ship. She arrives in May to make Auckland her home port for a nine-cruise winter season.
‘Island Delights’ departs Auckland on June 9 and visits Vanuatu, calling at Mystery Island, Lamen Bay, Luganville, Pentecost and Vila. The July 11 ‘Reef Rendezvous’ cruise visits New Caledonia, the Loyalty Islands and Vanuatu.
“The attraction of white sand beaches and tropical winter temperatures in the mid-20s is almost irresistible,” says P Cruises New Zealand Manager Shannon Currie. “Add in these two great offers and they’re virtually impossible to ignore.”
Pacific Star is well set up for kids and adults alike. The long list of shipboard activities on offer in the supervised kids’ clubs comprises some great energy busters, making for an excellent night’s sleep for kids and providing peace for parents.
Activities include dance parties, dress-ups, painting, craft, games, toys, quizzes, talent shows, movies day and night, theme shows and water-based thrills in the pools and whirlpool spas. Meanwhile parents can test their skills at pool volleyball, learn the latest dance craze or simply relax with a cocktail and a book.
Pacific Star has been specially configured for the Australasian circuit and features four dining venues, two swimming pools, six bars and lounges, spacious decks and a choice of queen or twin bed configurations in most cabins.
“Everyone has a great time on board, whether enjoying all the activities on offer or just simply relaxing by the pool. Then when the ship arrives at its destination the whole family can enjoy the day ashore discovering the native culture, snorkelling or swimming in turquoise lagoons in tropical ports and islands throughout the South Pacific,” Mr Currie says.
“The best part is that all these tropical ports come to you and parents have to unpack only once. Plus, everyone at home is shivering by the fire.”

* The Kids Fly Free option is available for bookings made before June 9 and the person booking must mention the promotion. Early booking discounts end on February 28. Kids Cruise Free fare is based on two adults paying twin fare in a four berth cabin. Free fare is applicable to upper berths only. Fares subject to availability. Conditions apply.
Fares include all main meals, activities and entertainment. Flight and hotel deals are also available.
