The January Hays Quarterly Forecast has been released and it reveals the hottest jobs and boom markets for 2006 in a variety of market sectors.
“The 2006 employment market will be as hot as ever,” said Jason Walker, General Manager of Hays New Zealand. “The job market continues to be resilient and employer hiring intentions suggest the first few months of 2006 will be very active with a variety of strong opportunities available for candidates.”
2006 hotspots are revealed in the Hays Quarterly Forecast. The candidates in strongest demand in New Zealand are as follows:
Hays Accountancy & Finance
- Management Accountants
- Business and Financial Analysts
- Internal Auditors
- Assistant Accountants
- Tax Specialists with two to three years New Zealand tax experience
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Clerks
- BAS Intermediates and BAS Managers
Hays Construction & Property
- Construction – estimators and intermediate project managers
- Property – qualified intermediate property managers and commercial development managers
- Facilities Management – operations managers and intermediate facilities managers
- Engineering - shortages across the board
- Architecture - project architects
Hays Information Technology
- Candidates with Java skills
- Candidates with Microsoft skills
