New Songs Anytime, Anywhere With The Telecom Music Store
Telecom 027 customers can now access new music on the move, with the launch of the Telecom Music Store today.
The Music Store, powered by Groove Mobile, lets customers with the new Sanyo 9000 mobile phone purchase and download
songs directly to their mobile, anywhere in New Zealand with 027 coverage.
Telecom Mobile’s Head of Marketing and New Media, Kevin Bowler, says it makes sense to bring music to your mobile.
“Your mobile is always with you, so using it as a music player saves carrying two devices around,” he says.
“Our customers have shown that they really enjoy personalising their phones with Caller Tunes and ring tones, and now
they’ll be able to download and listen to the music they love – anytime they want, right across New Zealand.
“When friends tell you about a new song they think you’ll like, you can preview it, purchase it and download it straight
away to your Sanyo 9000 mobile.”
The Telecom Music Store catalogue contains more than 300,000 songs from record labels Universal, EMI and Warners, with
more than 10,000 separate artists featured.
Songs are $3.50 each to download, but to celebrate the launch of the music store Telecom is giving away the first five
downloads free until 28 February 2006.
The Telecom Music Store is available exclusively with the Sanyo 9000 mobile phone, which is available at $799 RRP.
The Sanyo 9000 stores the songs purchased via the Telecom Music Store onto a 1GB Mini-SD memory card, which can hold
over 900 songs.
The Telecom Music Store was developed in connection with US-based Groove Mobile.
