Right time for Writeclick
When Writeclick launched in July they had a strong sense that the time was right for a specialist web writing company. Four months on their rapidly growing client list confirms their hunch was right.
“Businesses are realising that well written web content is at least as important as good design in attracting visitors, and turning them into customers,” says co-director Duncan Munro.
Writeclick is building a reputation for razor-sharp web content that’s driven by clients’ business goals and brand values.
Duncan says effective web content prompts action or understanding, whether you’re marketing a product, promoting a service or explaining a new policy.
“For people to respond positively to a website the content needs to communicate in a tone that suits the business, persuasively but without any hype.
“The city is awash with web design companies, but specialist web writing agencies are a rarer breed. We see ourselves as filling the gap between large corporate writing companies and one-man-band freelance writers.”
Writeclick puts a writer and an editor on each job - a ‘four eyes, two brains approach’, and judging by their growing and diverse client list, it’s working.
Recent clients include a boutique fishing lodge, a Wairarapa winery, a Hawkes Bay web directory and a host of Wellington design firms and government agencies.
The company, which Duncan started with business partner Melua Watson, combines their 15-years’ journalism and corporate writing experience. Before Writeclick they had written for arts, business, media and government clients.
