Unique ‘Farm Park’ With International Flair Has Local Appeal
For Release: 17 November 2005
The tranquillity of lush rural Cambridge, combined with the privacy of elevated building sites amongst rolling green hills is proving to be a local hit with the latest ‘farm park’, Tui Ridge about to be formally launched.
With three of the available eight lots already ‘snapped up’ by locals prior to the planned marketing, Harcourts Cambridge Sales Consultant, Philip Coles said in his experience of having worked on similar projects in recent years, there was a strong demand for this type of development in the area.
Mr Coles added that the ‘farm park’ concept was becoming increasingly popular offering the standards and covenants of a high quality development, along with the privacy and flexibility of a lifestyle block. He noted that in addition to the attractive surroundings, Cambridge boasted a number of world famous facilities including race-horse studs, golf course, trout fishing and the internationally acclaimed rowing facilities on Lake Karapiro. To the Southwest of Tui Ridge is the Maungatautari Mountain, now home to one of New Zealand’s top ecological conservation areas.
While Tui Ridge lies in the heart of peaceful rural New Zealand, with Cambridge around 10 minutes away, Hamilton airport half an hour away and two hours to Auckland International airport, Mr Coles said it offered a traditional rural feel with easy international access.
Following the enthusiastic purchase of the first three properties, Mr Coles is expecting the remaining five to receive similar strong buying interest once the marketing formally begins this month.
The five remaining properties offering various pasture, valley and Maungatautari Mountain views are:
Miro Lodge: 4000sqm of elevated land with substantial hilltop building site.
Totara Glades: Seven hectares including a large shed/workshop and building site among native trees.
Kowhai Sweep: Seven well-fenced hectares of rolling pasture with 3-bedroom house and workshop.
Tawa Run: The second-largest block, at 19 hectares, this property is ideal for cropping or grazing.
Rimu Rise: The largest block at 29 hectares made up of 17 hectares of well-fenced farmland and 12 hectares of native bush with excellent water supply.
