Sabre Pacific Launches New Partnership Program for New Zealand Travel Agents
“Sabre Returns” – putting the agent back into travel
NEW ZEALAND , Auckland, 19 October 2005.: Sabre Pacific today announced the launch of “Sabre Returns” – a new partnership program designed to reward New Zealand travel agencies by returning benefits to agents for hotel, car and air bookings made through the Sabre GDS.
From 1 January 2006, travel agents using the Sabre system to book hotel accommodation, car hire and airfares will earn points for incremental bookings that can be put towards a wide range of rewards. The “returns” include training, business tools and indulgence rewards to help grow their businesses and recognise the efforts of their staff.
Matt McLellan, Country Manager, Sabre Pacific New Zealand today introduced the program saying, “We are extremely pleased to be the first travel marketing company to introduce such a partnership program offering unique benefits to help grow our Sabre agents’ businesses. We recognise the climate for travel agencies across New Zealand is increasingly competitive and challenging. Through initiatives such as Sabre Returns, we are recognising and rewarding those agents using Sabre Pacific products and services to enhance their business.”

Sabre Returns is part of the company’s ongoing drive to assist agents streamline processes by booking through a single point of sale system. Sabre Pacific is making it easier for travel agencies to sell new travel opportunities through smart technology like MySabre and Sabre Agency Manager, whilst delivering breadth and depth of content in the Sabre GDS network across air, hotel and car hire.
There is no cost to join. To qualify, Sabre travel agencies in New Zealand simply need to register for Sabre Returns and, if they register before 31st December 2005, the agency will automatically receive 100 bonus points to open their account. Agents can register from October 21 at http://www.sabrepacific.com.au/registration.
From January 1st 2006, it’s business as usual for agencies. For agents using MySabre, it’s now even easier to book cars, hotels and air through a graphical point and click functionality. Sabre Pacific will manage the program and a Sabre Returns website will be operational where agencies can view their points, redeem rewards, view the latest hot deals and stay informed.
