New Zealand Racing Board: Appointments
NZ Racing Board: Chief Information Officer
The New Zealand Racing Board has appointed Chris Corke as Chief Information Officer. Mr Corke will have key responsibility for developing and leading the IT strategy for the business and providing direction and leadership to the Racing Board’s technical services team.
Mr Corke has extensive experience in a range of IT management roles and organisations. He joins the Racing Board from the New Zealand Exchange Ltd where he was chief information officer. Mr Corke also brings the Racing Board experience from a variety of technology management positions at Telecom where he was the project manager for the 3G Business Case, BEA Systems Ltd, Advantage Solutions Ltd Limited, PEC, Andersen Consulting and the London Stock Exchange.
NZ Racing Board: General Manager Industry Initiatives
The New Zealand Racing Board has appointed as Bill Colgan General Manager Industry Revitalisation. He will have pivotal responsibilities for co-ordinating key industry initiatives and will also take a lead with the racing calendar and programme management responsibilities of the Board.
He was formerly Executive Manager Racing with Racing and Wagering Western Australia. Before this he filled a number of management roles in racing clubs in Western Australia including being the Country Racing Manager with the Western Australian turf Club and the manager of the Pinjarra Race Club.
Mr Colgan has also been a licensed thoroughbred racehorse trainer in Western Australia.
