The EvolveNow NZ e-Business Portal is launched today
TAURANGA, BAY OF PLENTY: EvolveNow NZ, the online e-business portal that allows businesses in New Zealand to drive down procurement costs as well as increase sales revenues, was launched in Tauranga today. It can be viewed at www.evolvenow.co.nz
The EvolveNow NZ platform is based on a simple fundamental concept. Every business which sells a product or service also has to purchase a number of products and services to function as a business. By mapping these requirements against the ANZSIC codes assigned to each member company, the EvolveNow NZ e-business portal can match vendors and buyers across every sector of the New Zealand economy.
This match-making process has two outcomes. Financial controllers and owner managers who are striving to reduce procurement costs can be introduced to suppliers keen to compete for their business. On the flipside, sales teams seeking new routes to market can identify online contracts and tenders that their companies can bid for. The outcome is therefore twofold:
1. The platform generates revenues for those that want it, and
2. It reduces the time and costs in finding suppliers for those that need it
The EvolveNow NZ platform is being launched by The WH Consultancy Limited. Commenting on the launch, Peter Wren-Hilton, Managing Director of The WH Consultancy said:
“The EvolveNow NZ platform has been designed to ensure that irrespective of location, businesses in New Zealand can now find ‘best value’ suppliers in terms of service and price. For companies seeking new business, they can become those suppliers of ‘best value’.
With the increased penetration of broadband now taking place and a greater acceptance of online trading due to Internet auction sites such as TradeMe and eBay, we believe New Zealand business is now ready to embrace the significant cost savings, e-business services can produce.”
The EvolveNow NZ platform has been four years in the making. Devised by business consultants in the UK, the portal has been built to fulfil very specific user expectations. Microsoft server technology has been deployed to ensure data security. The ASB Bank CardPay system has been chosen to provide online payment security.
Online forums and user groups enable members of EvolveNow NZ to communicate with each other and discuss business issues of mutual interest. Closed, password-protected user groups enable members to participate in private online discussions.
The EvolveNow NZ online business portal provides a secure trading environment in which buyers and sellers can match and then meet their procurement and sales needs. The concept behind it is simple. It works and it is Open for Business from today.
