Take the kids on holiday and relax
Parents hoping to lie-back and recharge these summer holidays - without leaving the kids at home – now have the perfect solution.
A summer cruise aboard P Cruises’ Pacific Sky offers the ultimate family holiday. And with fares starting as low as $4,752* for a family of four on a 10-night cruise, including all main meals and entertainment for the whole family, the option is more affordable than ever.
“There are activites to cater to all family members aboard Pacific Sky” says P Cruises’ New Zealand manager Shannon Currie.
“Young children, older kids and teenagers have dedicated clubs supervised by qualified staff and activities are designed to keep the ship’s younger passengers busy all day and into the night.
“And while the kids are being entertained, their parents - normally big kids themselves - can go out to play poolside, join in at bingo, or dance the night away in one of our many bars and lounges.”
Children aged up to seven years flock to Turtle Cove where they are entertained with toys, educational games, arts, crafts, videos and a safe outdoor play deck complete with a paddling pool.
Meanwhile, the Shark Shack is a mecca for kids aged seven to 12 who can enjoy an endless range of activities including games, quizzes, treasure hunts, video games, talent shows and movie nights.
“Both kid’s clubs are open late so parents can live it up, feeling relaxed and confident their little ones are being well cared for. We also offer a full teen programme onboard to suit the different needs of young adults onboard.” says Mr Currie.
Only children with unlimited energy could tackle the long list of activities on offer across the three clubs. ‘Coketail dance parties’, dress-ups, painting, craft, games, toys, quizzes, talent shows, movies day and night and ‘Fright Night’ shows are just the start.
The children’s clubs are normally open from 9am-noon, 2-5pm and then 6 till late. Children 12 and under can eat their dinner at 5pm each day while parents relax and enjoy their own five-course dinners each night.
When Pacific Sky arrives at a tropical island port in Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, New Caledonia or the Loyalty Islands, the whole family can enjoy the day ashore discovering the native culture, snorkelling or swimming at idyllic beaches.
Special fares for Pacific Sky’s summer season are available from:
• $5,432 for a family of four on a 10-night Christmas cruise sailing to Tonga and Fiji, departing December 17, 2005*.
• $7,680 for a family of four on a 12-night New Year cruise to Fiji and Vanuatu departing December 27, 2005*.
