Telecom Is Giving Customers Another Chance To Have Their Say
Although Election ’05 may be coming to an end this weekend, the weekend also marks the beginning of a new campaign. From Saturday Telecom customers get another chance to vote in the Your Call Calling Special campaign.
The two candidates are Telecom’s $10 Talkathon and 99c Sunday calling specials.
“Our customers have been telling us for some time that they want greater freedom and control over their calling,” Telecom Acting Head of Consumer Marketing Kelly Walker says, “This campaign is a fun way to give our customers greater control by letting them vote for which calling special they want.”
Customers must cast their vote by midnight on Wednesday 21 September to have their say on which calling special will be run over the following weekend. Customers can vote by texting ‘A’ or ‘B’ to 777 from their 027 mobile, calling 0800 URCALL (0800 87 22 55) or by visiting www.telecom.co.nz/urcall.
$10 Talkathon offers customers the chance to talk to New Zealand, Australia, UK, Ireland, and South Africa, from 6pm Friday 23 September to midnight Sunday 25 September and pay no more than $10.
In contrast, 99c Sunday offers customers the chance to talk for up to 2 hours from midnight Saturday 24 September to midnight Sunday 25 September and pay no more than 99c for a national call.
Customers should look out for an announcement of the winning calling special in advertising on TV, in major newspapers and on the radio from 6pm Friday. Online voters can also request an email informing them of the winner.
Both calling specials apply to direct dial voice calls from your home phone and exclude calling cards, 059, 0161, Quick Call national calls and calls to mobiles.
