Big Changes at Home Grown

Published: Tue 6 Sep 2005 11:06 AM
Hi there!
“Home Grown”, one of National Radio’s flagship music shows is being re-launched on Saturday September 24th at 2pm.
Instead of focussing solely on kiwi music and local happenings, the new Home Grown will cover the best of what’s happening here, as well as putting a New Zealand perspective on great music from the rest of the world.
You should expect to hear interviews with acts from across the musical spectrum, insightful documentaries and features with regular contributions from a wide range of musical experts.
Home Grown will be touching on all types of music and musical scenes plus related topics such as technology, film and literature. If it has something to do with music, Home Grown will turn its kiwi eyes and ears to it and bring the best of the best to you each Saturday from 2 * 5pm.
The new Home Grown team consists of:
Presenter: Sarah McMullan * formerly of commercial radio, now pleased to be championing what got her into radio in the first place * Music!
Producer: Sam Wicks * an all round music fan and guru of organisation. Sam, like Sarah writes for various music magazines as well as contributing to National Radio music and arts programmes for a good few years now.
Home Grown is interested in hearing from you about any opportunities to play great music (CDs, Live to Airs). We want to interview interesting musicians and related industry people, and let the people know about news and developments in the music scene. If you have news or info that could be of interest send it our way.
If you have any questions, queries, tips, ideas or feedback * you can contact us at:
