Mobile EFTPOS – Making Life Easier For Businesses
-Takeaway delivery staff, emergency breakdown repairers and round-the-clock plumbers now have a hassle-free way of accepting customer payments when they are on the road.
EFTPOS New Zealand’s new lightweight Keycorp K78 mobile EFTPOS unit provides all businesses working out of the office with a convenient debit and credit card payments system.
Weighing less than half a kilogram, the unit can be attached to a belt or carried on a shoulder strap. It uses Vodafone’s extensive GPRS network, which reaches around 97% of where New Zealanders live, work and play – and the average transaction takes only three seconds.
“This offers our customers the opportunity to do more business on the road and free up their cashflow,” said EFTPOS New Zealand Managing Director Leone McRae. “At the same time, it removes the inconvenience of handling cash, chasing payments and reconciling their accounts.”
The mobile unit complies with new global standards known as EMV and 3DES, being introduced by Visa and Mastercard to provide increased security to businesses and their customers. EFTPOS New Zealand’s Keycorp K78 Mobile terminal will be available from 5th September 2005.
